Yahoo! Mail
Yahoo! Mail is a full-featured web-based email program that runs on both desktop computers and mobile devices. On mobile, it can run either as a web app or as a native app for Android or iOS. Among Yahoo! Mail's many features are 1 TB of storage space, POP and IMAP access, SMS and instant messaging support, spam and custom filters, disposable addresses, blocked addresses, on demand passwords and 2-step authentication, virus scanning, and message forwarding. The free edition places non-intrusive ads at the end of messages, while the Pro edition, which starts at $10 per year, removes the ads and provides users priority support.

Yahoo! Mail is one of the oldest web-based email programs, and it's still one of the best. It's powerful, fast, easy to use, and everything just works. It also works on just about any computing platform, including mobile, and comes with more storage space than any normal user could possibly use. Though each message and the sum of all attachments added to it cannot exceed 25 MB. Yahoo! Mail really comes in handy when you have multiple mail accounts. It can access POP and IMAP accounts, and can even forward mail to another account. Yahoo! mail can also automatically block spam, but it doesn't do so perfectly. Oftentimes spam gets through, and sometimes it will even mark legitimate mail as spam. But it also comes with custom spam filters, and users can further block specific mail addresses. Yahoo! Mail also has state-of-the-art security features as well as automatic virus scanning.
The ads are annoying. I put up with them until an ad with a woman with open panties was shown. I'm irritated. I even purchased the pro version of Yahoo! But the annoying ads were still there. What better options do I have than Yahoo?
I have been using Yahoo for almost 20 years, but I think it's time to look for an alternative. Yahoo's right hand ad panel seems to get larger all time leaving little space to view mail unless you sign on to their payment plan. Yahoo changes the format at will. In short, they want people to start paying for the service. If you're a pensioner that's difficult.
