WinX DVD Ripper
A LOOK AT WINX DVD RIPPER SOFTWARE. So what in the heck is this DVD ripper in the first place? Well, as the name would imply, the software “rips,” a movie from a physical disc. Ripping should not be confused with duping. Duping is the process of copying the full disc onto a blank one, essentially duplicating said movie disc. Ripping, however, allows for the end user to pull a movie only file and then convert said file into any format the end user might require. People duplicate when they enjoy the full disc and want a copy for regular play on their television set top player. People rip when they want to watch a movie that they own on another device (i.e. smartphone or tablet.) While this program can be used to duplicate, this software was really created with the ripping crowd in mind. SO HOW DOES IT ADD UP? Conversion times, even with a heavier compression codec (i.e. anything MPEG-4 based,) are surprisingly quick when compared to other options on the market. The quality of these rips is also outstanding. This is especially true when considering the rendering speed. Another feature that makes the package one of the most popular options is its built in video editor. It’s really the type of feature that you don’t know you’re missing on a ripper until you rip without one. It particularly comes in handy if you don’t want to render the ENTIRE movie (i.e. cutting out the end credits.)

- It costs the price of a software package that you would walk into the store and buy (i.e. no downloading for super cheap. It is important to mention that you DO get what you pay for! If you spend a little bit of money for a full package, then you get better features. For the under $50 sub range, not a large investment is required here when you think about it.
- Might be a bit much for end users wanting to just copy a movie.

Beware Digiarty and their WinX DVD ripper. Their stripped down test version works just fine. So, I bought the full version and was unable to make a single functioning rip. Asked for a refund in early December of 2018 and now, after nine letters, no refund. They promise only HALF of your money back and then later ask that you send them $18 MORE to get an upgraded version. Three weeks later, silence. Not even half the refund! So, if you're looking for long term pen-pal to endlessly discuss why they won't give you your money back, then Digiarty and WinXdvd are the folks for you.
The first time I insert my dvd disc, this application failed to recognize dvd Avengers Infinity War. I can't sure it's caused by this app, DVD itself or my hard driver. Then I just try again after shutting down my computer, re-launch this product and check my disc driver. Luckily, it eventually works smoothly and rips my DVD to mp4 format with visually no quality damage. So, basically, it's great though minor accident happens at first time.
