The company says that they will soon be releasing an Android version that works with USB as well. However, iDisplay is not without its drawbacks, and there are many of them. It is relatively expensive as far as mobile apps go, and it currently has lots of technical problems, especially on Android. These problems include connectivity issues and flickering. It can also be very slow. Customer support is further terrible, with many users complaining about unanswered support requests. At both iTunes and Google Play the app currently has very low user ratings. Still, if SHAPE GmbH — the creator of the app — can address these problems and offer the app at a better price, iDisplay could become a very useful tool.
