Freemake Audio Converter Reviews

Unlike other free software used for file conversion, Freemakes Audio Converter doesn't come with any unwanted downloads or advertisements. The software is totally free to download and use, which is a huge plus. For comparable audio converter programs, usually one would expect to see about a 50 dollar price point. Out of all the free audio converter programs that we've tried, this Freemakes converter is the easiest to start using. Converting a file is as simple as choosing from over 500 output formats and clicking start. Burning a CD or Blue-Ray disc is effortless, and oddly enough doesn't take as much time as coping a disc onto your computer. The software is light weight, which is a huge plus for users on older computers or tablet users. Any glitches that might be encountered can be easily fixed by simply aborting the conversion and starting it again. Freemakes Audio Converter is compatible with almost any hardware setup, and system requirements are minimal. One of the few drawbacks of this free program is the conversion time. The time it takes to convert a WAV file to an MP3 format is about 5 times longer than your average paid for converter. This is not a problem in and of itself, considering that the software is free and there are no advertisements of any kind. While the conversion time is quite long, the output file works flawlessly. Another drawback to this software is that it has no real user support. There isn't a customer service line to call when you have problems, and there is no one to complain to when the software doesn't work the way its supposed to. There are a few forums where users can get technical support, but they are quite slow and it may take some time to get answers for your questions. When you consider that the software is free, these problems don't seem to be that bad. Yes, there are better converters out there which are faster and provide end user support, but none of them will be free.
