PlanSwift is a piece of takeoff software designed for use for residential and commercial contractors working in a variety of trades and operating at different scales of productivity. With its simple point and click interface, you can create estimates that your clients can rely on. You'll be able to easily determine the volume and cost of materials needed for your project and come up with results that are fair to both you and the client. To reduce miscalculations during the takeoff process and to make the planning of your project easier, PlanSwift offers simple ways to upload the schematic of the property you're working on. The plan room allows you to pull industry standard designs straight from the program's database, and PlanSwift also allows you to import your own designs from scanned images or AutoCAD programs. You can even manually set the measurements yourself and watch as PlanSwift builds out the blueprint to your specifications. Once you have an accurate representation of your work site in place, you can start determining the cost of materials and labor. PlanSwift utilizes a simple point and click interface that reduces the need for advanced drafting or artistic skills. Sketch in specific areas of the blueprint to designate them for different areas, and each will be assigned an appropriate square footage. You can then link these color coded sections directly to the materials from your assemblies. These can be customized by yourself to make sure results are accurate, and you can draw from the same assemblies across multiple projects. Most contractors can simply create assemblies for their most commonly used projects and draw from them as needed. Once you're done with the takeoff, you can easily print it physically or export it to another format or program easily and directly through the software. PlanSwift's versatility comes from its ability to adapt to a wide range of contracting professions, and these wide ranging features are more than just cosmetic. The ability to calculate square footage even when dealing with curved surfaces is useful to most people in the building or renovation industries, but perimeter measurement functions are uniquely functional for specialized fields like flooring, where you need to calculate information for baseboards and nail strips. Electricians can draw from a more stripped down design to more easily measure lengths of complex wire runs and figure out the best route to draw cables and wiring. The software will even automatically determine the number of switches and receptacles you need based off of the volume and design of wiring being used. Depth measurements simplify the process of installing plumbing at a commercial or residential building. PlanSwift is available at a one time cost and comes with technical support free of charge.
