The original stand-alone software was fantastic but they went cloud in 2016 and stopped supporting it. One of the major benefits to me was that it could import recipes from the Windows clipboard. So, I could Google something, copy to the clipboard, edit in Word if necessary, then import it directly into BigOven. I have several thousand recipes now and decided to upgrade to the cloud. Alas, that's where the problems start. I basically need to start my collection all over unless I pay $24 per month for the Pro version which has an option of moving my data to their website. Since I don't need mobility, etc that the Cloud offers, I can't justify several hundred dollars per year for a piece of software. Even Window costs less! So, I'm in the market for new software that does not require an a constatnt internet presence, doesn't cost over $200/yr (LOL) but more importantly can import my recipes from BigOven. Tall order, I know :(
