Bvckup 2
Bvckup2 is an app that backs up data. You can have your files copied to a folder that will sync with your computer to back up files. It syncs fast and is reliable. Large folders are not compressed and you can access the files at any time. This app allows you to decide if you would like real time updates or if you would like scheduled updates to save your files. You can even do a manual update. It is Asynchronous, in that there are several different copying requests that go on at the same time. It copies what has been updated, not the whole file. You have an option to choose to run it all the time or lessen the power of it when the CPU is in heavy use. It can detect when files are moved and can also index files so that each scan takes up less time. Scans run even if no one is logged in. You can also transfer to back up sources such as removable disk drives. Bvckup2 uses Window’s Shadow Copying to back up all files, even the ones that are locked. It achieves the deleted files. It works on some files and large files, even claiming to have copied multi-million files.
- Works with Shadow Copying
- Works with protected files
- Works with large files and small files.
- Can have scheduled backups, manual backups and real time backups.
- Archives deleted files.
- I don’t like the interface of the app. It looks too much like a computer back up system without any graphics.
- Achieves deleted files. This is both a pro and a con because sometimes you would just like them deleted.
- Backup for all files and not the ones you choose.
There is more to the app, but in terms of backing up data, you can’t find anything better than this. With so many options to choose from and so many things it can do, few other software compare. It simply backs up your files and nothing else. It does a good job of backing up files in many different ways.
The other review is a complete bullshit, but the program is legit. Very fast and completely on-point. A UI to die for.
Easily the best designed UI of a Windows desktop program I’ve seen since ‘95 days. Never gets in the way, but everything is exactly where you expect it to find... really impressive.
