Air Display

Air Display

Air Display allows extra screens to extend the display size of a Mac desktop. The company behind the product is Avatron Software, which was founded in 2008. Other software by the company includes Air Stylus, Everydisk, Air Login and Air Sharing. The founder of Avatron Software, Dave Howell, founded another company dedicated to music apps called Muphos, and for the most part, it seems that the development team at Avatron Software has moved on to other endeavors, as most of their software has been retired (the last blog post on the website is a sale from the end of 2016). Air Display might be the exception, as it's the only product listed on the website as current. It is currently on its third version.

Air Display Reviews

The need for extra screen space on a computer is a common one. Additional monitors are great for graphic design, research papers, gaming, and pretty much any other application one can think of. But what if the extra screen could be wireless? Avatron Software's Air Display is the answer. Installing air display allows a MacOS computer to communicate with another screen or device to extend the display area of the desktop. For example, an extension or mirror of the current display can be put on an iPad, iPhone, Mac device or even a Windows PC. If the extra screen is touch compatible, it will work as a touchscreen for the desktop device. Air Display requires Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) or newer.
