Those who appreciate shooters that are fast-paced will love Loadout. The game also has a very cartoon-like feel which gives it a bit of humor. Players create characters that can be customized and do battle with other players in various arenas. One of the unique aspects of the game is that it is delivered in a third-person perspective. The game is a good choice for those who are new to multiplayer arena shooters. It is complex enough to be challenging but forgiving for those who have little experience. That's a plus because getting killed over and over is no fun for anyone. Players have access to a large variety of weapons. Each player is permitted to have two weapons before going into battle. These weapons must first be assembled in a weapons shop. This, in truth, is one of the more enjoyable parts of the game. The combinations are almost endless. It is very possible to create a unique weapon that can be carried about with pride. It is also possible to customize characters. The downside of the customizations is that they can end up costing players a lot of money. It is possible to purchase some upgrades with XP earned in battle, but most of the cool stuff has to be bought. More than a few people will be disappointed when they discover that the game is not free at all. There is also some difficulty in participating in 4-person matches. The game will often place players in a 1 vs. 1 match instead of the desired mode. This can be frustrating to those who wish to test their shooting skill against multiple opponents. The game also places novices in combat with experienced players. The maps and arenas are interesting. Battles can be conducted in a variety of scenarios. The game is certainly not boring. It's a game that can suck up a lot of hours without players really noticing how much time they've spent playing. Parents should know that the game contains plenty of gore and some adult-themed humor.
