Whether its for video games, social media for the big-time cinematic performances, virtual reality is hot right now. With Jahshaka, aspiring artists and veterans alike are given a powerful toolbox to bring their virtual worlds to life. Jahshaka is surprisingly easy to learn and use, despite its immense capabilities. The software is open source and downloading is free, through donations can be sent via Bitcoin. The software is openly developed on GitHub, where users can contribute to the development, submit bugs or fork the software for their own needs. Jahshaka utilizes Iris GL as it's engine, which is also free and open source software released under the LGPL license. The software's development timeline can be viewed on its Trello board, and communication with the authors can be facilitated on Jahshaka's Slack channel. The software has an active community on both Facebook and Reddit, and it supports the Heroku app for communications. At the end of January, 2018, the company unveiled a new forum system directly on their website to help integrate community feedback directly into their development process.
