Screamer Radio
Screamer Radio is a streaming service that allows users to stream their favorite radio and web casted programming via one easy to use interface. The Screamer Radio software gives users the comfort of being able to pre-set their favorite radio stations, allowing you to change effortlessly from one radio station to the next. The software also allows users to create and record their own content, which is directly encoded into MP3 or WAV files. While the basic interface is fresh and easy to use, Screamer Radio hides a plethora of options under its surface. The advanced user has refined options such as stereo separation, advanced EQ, and built in sound effects. The interface is fully customizable, allowing users to build the program around their needs. By being able to fully customize their interface, users are not limited in their ability to enjoy their favorite radio stations. Screamer Radio was built to be fully customization, both in function and appearance. This customization includes the ability to change buffer sizes and bit rates while streaming your programming. By allowing users to change their buffer sizes, the program can become more lean, allowing users to easily let Screamer Radio run in the background without utilizing precious system resources on their computer.

Screamer Radio is a great addition to the online streaming software community. The software itself is refined and allows users to create a program for their needs. One of the greatest features of Screamer Radio is the ability to record, which is not seen very often in this family of applications. Another strong feature of this program is that users can have multiple streaming sources connected at once, making channel surfing effortless. Unfortunately, Screamer Radio does have some draw backs. While the applicaiton is fully customizable, changing hte presets for your radio stations is a little tricky. The presets are fixed, meaning that it may be difficult to organize your favorite stations the way that you would prefer. Another drawback to Screamer Radio is that it may be difficult for the average user to build the software to their needs. While the program is simple to use on the surface, digging into the more advanced features of this application can be difficult and frustrating.
I have been using Screamer Radio for many years and can only say that it has always fulfilled all my needs. Recently a new version has been released, but in my opinion this is not really better than the previous version (v0.4.4). The record option mentioned by GREX has now disappeared. Luckily the previous version is still available for download but this will not get updates in the future.
