Postach.io

Postach.io

Postach.io is an interesting website that essentially transforms an Evernote notebook to a platform for publishing content. This means you can blog directly from Evernote, and that is just as good as it sounds. The software was developed by a Canadian software company called Input Logic, and they have already met with the owners of Evernote to discuss the idea of selling their software to Evernote so it can be officially integrated into the default functionality of the app.

Postach.io Reviews

Postach.io started off as a secondary idea that came about as a result of the developers collaborating through Evernote on another project called QuoteRobot. During the collaboration, they decided it would be significantly easier if they could publish directly from Evernote. Finding no workable solution to make that happen, they created their own solution and called it Postach.io. Almost everyone involved in the original version of Postach.io had some experience working with content management systems at some point in their careers, so they had some insight into what should be included in an Evernote-centered publishing platform. They included integrated Disqus comments, RSS feeds, multimedia support, personalized themes, and much more. If you can store it in Evernote, it can be published using Postach.io. There are six available themes to select, and they all tend to offer minimalist designs with clean, sleek aesthetics and soft icons. As the website grows and develops, new themes will be added to better match the needs of the various potential users. The software also features some creative ways to spread your curated content to the world. Using Postach.io is quite simple. You start by creating an account, which you will then authorize with Evernote so they will allow the notebooks to be published. Once everything is properly set up, all you have to do to publish a new piece of content is add the 'publish' tag to posts in a notebook. If you want to create a post now that will be published later, you can schedule a time and date for the publication with the date field. Once you've created a blog, it will automatically be published at a subdomain structured with your handle before the postach.io, or you can set a URL that you own as the publication URL. Right now, the basic version of the software is free, but if the service becomes popular, it could easily be converted into a monetization system. Right now, the developers are more focused on cultivating a user base and an optimal product. If you're interested in blogging, you probably know that there are dozens of popular blogging platforms to choose from, but most of them make a singular mistake. They want to draw users away from other systems that they already use extensively. The team that built Postach.io understood that the underlying platform was more important, which is why they choose to work with Evernote. Since Evernote hosts everything from your personal computer, you will not have to worry about the servers crashing and erasing all of your content.
