Deis Reviews

While creating a versatile app that will connect with the community can be a difficult enough task in and of itself, the trials of deployment add a whole new layer of complications. Built to function with Kubenetes, Deis automates the process of deploying apps, manage them on your local or remote servers, and scale them to match the demand of your customer base. Deis is built to scale to the needs of the user. Its ease of use and automation make it easy for those with minimal experience to execute, but there's a wealth of options available for those more versed in the ins and outs of infrastructure design and maintenance. Rather than a single piece of software, Deis is a three pronged suite that covers all the basics of deployment and management. By segregating this suite into three distinct categories, users can more easily manage the various aspects of their programs and avoid informational overload. Workflow serves as a gatekeeper between development teams and operations. Where the old method of development often resulted in messy code that needed to be massaged by ops, Workflow ensures that everyone involved in the process is on the same page. You can minimize the roadblocks and complications that come from friction between various teams by creating a streamlined workflow that tells you exactly where your problems and inefficiencies arise. The command line interface is inspired by Heroku, one of the leading names in the business, and it puts simplicity first. Workflow packages together a number of Kubernetes micro softwares into one easy interface, allowing developers to deploy new versions of their app with little need for technical knowledge and ops the ability to deploy these versions with zero downtime. Workflow utilizes the REST API for easy integration with Kubernetes. Kubernetes offers a lot of great options out of the box, but more advanced teams are often going to have to rely on additional Kubernetes applications to get the results they need. Helm helps you find the applications that suit the demands of your project and implement them in an effective and streamlined manner. This is supplemented by Helm Charts, which lets you define the functions of your Kubernetes applications, install them quickly, and even manage updates as they arrive. With a chart in place, you can easily track the workflow of your Kubernetes ecosystem. The final component of the Deis system is Steward, a native service broker that oversees the ongoing maintenance of your apps infrastructure. Steward codes are readily accessible to all users through GitHub. All of the Deis projects are open source, facilitating communications between the Deis development team and allowing operators and administrators to roll up their sleeves and dig deep into the cogs and gears that keep the Deis framework running. They regularly rely on suggestions and additions from the community to improve their products.
